{"id":2075,"date":"2017-07-24T15:43:03","date_gmt":"2017-07-24T13:43:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lbti.ibcp.fr\/?page_id=2075"},"modified":"2021-02-28T17:59:28","modified_gmt":"2021-02-28T16:59:28","slug":"introduction-12","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/lbti.ibcp.fr\/?page_id=2075","title":{"rendered":"Presentation of the group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong><u>SK<\/u><\/strong>in functional <strong><u>IN<\/u><\/strong>tegrity (<strong>SKIN<\/strong>) group, leaded by <a href=\"https:\/\/lbti.ibcp.fr\/?page_id=1586&amp;nom=FROMY&amp;prenom=B%C3%A9reng%C3%A8re\">Bereng\u00e8re Fromy<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/lbti.ibcp.fr\/?page_id=1586&amp;nom=LAMARTINE&amp;prenom=J%C3%A9r%C3%B4me\">J\u00e9r\u00f4me Lamartine<\/a>, is devoted to a better understanding of the mechanisms ensuring the tissue functionality in normal and fragile skin. The skin is a vital organ ensuring the integrity of the organism and allowing its exchanges with the surrounding environment. The skin integrity can be weakened by environmental changes that give rise to a fragile tissue. In our group, we are deciphering new mechanisms involved in the maintenance of healthy skin functionality, to better understand how the functionality can be fragilized by internal or external insults and to settle up new strategies to allow the functional recovery of the compromised tissue.<\/p>\n<p>Our research projected are then organized into 4 different axis:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Axis 1: <a href=\"https:\/\/lbti.ibcp.fr\/?page_id=2093\">Deciphering the mechanisms maintaining the healthy skin functionality<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Axis 2: <a href=\"https:\/\/lbti.ibcp.fr\/?page_id=2091\">Understanding the mechanisms of skin weakening<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Axis 3: <a href=\"https:\/\/lbti.ibcp.fr\/?page_id=2089\">Finding indicators of skin weakness<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Axis 4: <a href=\"https:\/\/lbti.ibcp.fr\/?page_id=2087\">Therapeutic strategies to recover the functionality of the fragile skin<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-4151 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/lbti.ibcp.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Image-strate\u0301gie-e\u0301quipe.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"482\" height=\"172\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The SKIN group is composed of 15 scientists (researchers, teacher-researchers, PhD student, post-doctoral researchers, engineers, technicians) with multidisciplinary expertises (cell biology, physiology, genetics, skin biology).
